GORDON IZUMI

Acclaimed musician Gordon Izumi is proud to announce the re-release of his inspiring single, “Never Give Up,” now available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify and Apple Music. The song, originally written as a response to a profound personal loss, carries a universal message of resilience and hope, striking a chord with listeners from all walks of life.

”‘Never Give Up’ was born out of a great  challenge in my life,” says Izumi. “It became my way of turning despair into hope, and I’ve seen it resonate deeply with so many people. Re-releasing this song felt like the perfect way to reconnect with those themes and share its message with an even wider audience.”

The re-release comes at an exciting time for Gordon Izumi, who continues to captivate audiences as a performer with his bands Junkyard Flamingoes and One Reason.

REASON

Hailing from the greater Toronto area, ONE REASON is a hardworking, straight-up rock ‘n’ roll band dedicated to reviving the vibrant energy of classic roots rock through modern performance. Founded in 2016 by frontman Gordon Izumi and bassist David Chan, the band later welcomed premier Canadian guitarist Michael Morelli and powerhouse drummer Chad Specker.

Izumi says, “We’re four guys who love to rock. We play and record music inspired by the sounds we grew up with in the ’60s, ’70s, and ’80s—because there’s nothing like that around us anymore.”

With their infectious stage presence and expert musicianship, ONE REASON transports audiences back to an era when music was raw, energetic, and authentic. With every performance, they strive to forge a deep connection with listeners, reigniting their passion for the timeless sound of roots rock.

Original tracks like “Way Back Home” and “Working Man” are urgent, dynamic, and rhythmically driven—naturally evolving from their nostalgic love for classic rock covers.

THE JUNKYARD FLAMINGOS

The Junkyard Flamingos are a no-nonsense, full-throttle blast to your rock senses. Based out of Oshawa, Ontario, JYF is all about pure, unfiltered rock—just vocals, drums, bass, two electric guitars, and keyboards. No pretensions, no backing tracks, no slick productions—just straight-up classic rock.

With Gordon Izumi, Pat MacArdle, Chip Perry, Jimi MacIntyre, and Rawlio Chen, their workmanlike approach delivers raw emotion, humor, and killer chops that make your head nod. Battle-hardened and spit-polished through years of vans, garages, countless soundchecks, and, yes, headlining shows, The Junkyard Flamingos believe rock music is about lifting people up—and they prove that there’s no greater truth than rock and roll.
